The other week was the baby shower for a friend of mine. Her baby was premature but I’m happy to say that she is doing fine! I wasn’t able to go to the shower unfortunately because I was sick. I didn’t want to spread whatever I had. Wouldn’t want to keep her from her new baby. Well, my mom picked out the cutest dress with a floral pattern with wispy stems and leaves. I thought the pattern was awesome and tried to incorporate it into the card.

I figured that the tissue paper flowers would give me the best look. They are easy to manipulate and quick to do. It took me a little bit to try and figure out an arrangement. I wanted to do something similar to the dress, which was just a continuous print. That would take a lot of time and I thought it would end up looking cluttered. So I kept it simple and did three little bouquets. I used a gray marker to then do the vines.
I’m experimenting with photos. I am using my phone, I am not a photographer, and it’s been years since I took a basic lesson so… Bare with me. Also, I am really going to shoot for posting once a week on Wednesday around noon MST. I’m taking advantage of the scheduling feature here so by the time you’re getting this, it will already have been about a week. I also have one lined up for the next update too so hopefully during these 2 weeks I’ll have more to show!
