Wow. It’s been a while.
What was supposed to be a little break turned into a month-long break! I was traveling this last month and to do so, I had to trade some shifts at work and pick up some more to make up lost hours. I have posted one card on the Instagram. So check that out.
So, for Mother’s Day, each of the kids took my mom out and spent time with her. With all the different schedules, it was hard to get everyone to go out together. So, we just took turns.
Last year, I did a similar card. Both use flowers as the main eye catcher. Mother’s Day is all about flowers and my mom adores flowers. This year, I wanted to do more! Last year I really had it all on the cardstock paper to give some style. It looked nice but a little, eh.
I’m really happy with this card. It’s a lot of pink but it complements each other very well. And the pearls accent it very well too! I used a stencil on the inside to write out “mama” but it didn’t turn out that well so I’m going to wait to show off my stencil skills another time.
Hope you all had a lovely May and Mother’s Day with the motherly figures in your life. Don’t wait just one day a year to show that appreciation!
